Sewing Passion

A collections of my attempts at understanding sewing. Some how the part of my brain that makes knitted garments won’t comply with the concept.
However, I’m getting it slowly!

Then I used strips of our free local newspaper to create all the pieces so I could pin them on the dress form before cutting the fabric. (Thanks Rachel for the fantastic idea!)
High-waisted Blue Skirt: Made entirely from my own pattern. I sketched the original design down while being bored as shit at work ;)
Oriental Print Sleeveless Dress WITH POCKETS! This one is my first full success. It is a fully functional (I wore it to a large party on Saturday without it falling to bits, lol.), fully lined, boned bodice, dress with pockets.
